Meet Doni!

Welcome to Doni's America!

Doni the Goat is taking a road trip across America from September 23rd - October 12th to raise money for p:ear, a nonprofit that creatively mentors homeless youth.

Doni and Justin
Born on Earth Day 4-20-2010, Doni was formally introduced to the world on May 22nd 2010 as part of “The Urban Farmer Package” at p:earblossoms 2010, the annual fundraiser for p:ear (a program working with homeless youth). So beautiful, he was competitively bid on and won by the similarly radiant Justin K. Oswald. Justin’s fondness for this goat grew and he named him Adonis.   Immediately recognized as a demi-god, “Doni” became the mascot for p:ear. He joined pear youth in the Starlight parade during the Famous Rose Festival of Portland Oregon, accompanied by Sam Adams, Mayor of Portland. He attends and dresses up for numerous fundraisers benefiting p:ear along with other non profit organizations and occasionally pops into p:ear to say hello. Acting like a service animal he provides comfort and effortlessly reminds youth about the Natural World.

Continuing his interest in disadvantaged youth he spent a month volunteering his time at an interdisciplinary arts summer camp for rural and urban youth: Caldera. Perfecting his skills by participating in a talent shows, field trips, skits, hikes, swimming in the lake, and ultimately providing a wealth of inspiration for the youth at Caldera.  This inspiration lead to a music video starring Doni and some of the youth at the camp, as well as being involved in several photography shoots.
